Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and assist patients with medication counseling
- Maintain sterile compounding areas and adhere to FDA/DEA regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) for prescription processing and record-keeping
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Train new staff on pharmacy protocols and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and pharmacy law
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and inventory software
- Excellent communication skills and customer service focus
