Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and care
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA regulations
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure proper handling and storage of blood samples
- Provide patient education during procedures
- Collaborate with medical staff on sample collection protocols
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and specimen processing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
- Nevada state phlebotomy license (if applicable)
