Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and transport specimens accurately to laboratory departments
- Maintain precise documentation in electronic health records
- Ensure all equipment is sterilized and calibrated per safety standards
- Provide compassionate patient care during collection procedures
- Collaborate with nursing staff for specimen collection scheduling
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Active Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Valid CPR certification
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
