Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings with emphasis on critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient vitals and respond rapidly to changes in condition using evidence-based protocols
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process enhancement projects
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license in good standing (or compact state eligibility)
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated patient-centered approach
- EMR proficiency (Epic experience strongly preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Spanish bilingualism highly valued
