Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and surgical services
- Administer medications, treatments, and specialized clinical interventions with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide patient education and emotional support to families during critical care episodes
- Participate in rapid response teams and emergency medical interventions
- Mentor new nursing staff and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania RN license (or compact license with PA endorsement)
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in hospital setting
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proven expertise in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to perform under pressure in high-acuity environments
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency in diverse urban healthcare settings
