Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred but willing to train graduates.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
