Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct, compassionate patient care and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, symptoms, and treatment plans.
- Educational Support: Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-care instructions.
- Environmental Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient needs, emergencies, and critical situations with composure and skill.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Schedule: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Tech: Proficiency with electronic health records (EMR) and computer systems.
- Attitude: Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
