Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments according to established medical protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Assist with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and provide compassionate patient support.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergencies within the shift timeframe.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work weekends and rotating shifts as required.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
