Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, wound treatment, and vital sign monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations with critical thinking and intervention skills
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital protocols
- Mentor junior staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Washington State RN license required
- BSN degree strongly preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 1-2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Demonstrated clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends as needed
