Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical equipment before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict sterile techniques and infection control protocols
- Transport patients and specimens between departments
- Inventory and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesia teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
