Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies efficiently.
- Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly and sterilized.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to maintain a sterile field and patient safety.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including washing, shaving, and draping the surgical site.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient data during procedures.
- Properly sterilize and handle surgical instruments and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certification of Surgical Technology (CST) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a hospital or surgical setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
