Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patients' vital signs and sterile conditions throughout operations
- Manage surgical supplies and inventory for optimal efficiency
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and hospital safety protocols
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and provide post-op support
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 1+ years of scrub tech experience in acute care setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
