Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Triage incoming patients in emergency department and urgent care settings
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize critical cases
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide clear communication to patients/families about wait times
- Monitor bed capacity and coordinate patient flow
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to mass casualty incidents per hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active Nevada RN license required
- Minimum 3 years ED/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications mandatory
- Expertise in ESI triage methodology
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- BSN degree preferred
