Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, according to established protocols.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transfers to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and patients at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, patients, families, and other healthcare team members regarding patient status and needs.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergencies.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered North Carolina CNA license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as part of the rotating schedule.
