Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) accurately.
- Assist registered nurses with procedures and treatment plans as directed.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times, including fall prevention measures.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Document patient care activities and interactions in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (Texas State Board of Nursing).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be current.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude.
