Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and daily activities accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA License (required).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification (Preferred).
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Physical stamina to perform standing, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
- Compassionate nature with a focus on patient-centered care.
