Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy in patient records.
- Provide compassionate end-of-life care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility issues, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs safely.
- Administer medications as directed by the nursing staff and document administration.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for all patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team regarding patient changes in condition or concerns.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Louisiana CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- Reliable transportation and professional appearance.
