Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers to ensure maximum safety and comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses and physicians.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Current and active Louisiana State CNA Certification required.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) must be up to date.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
