Responsibilities
- Provide direct and compassionate patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretcher beds.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the RN or physician under supervision.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and daily progress in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient needs.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies within the scope of your practice.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered North Carolina CNA License.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure.
