Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA license in the state of Illinois (IL).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred but not required for top candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient dignity.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
