Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional personal care assistance to patients including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Accurately monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient condition changes
- Assist with therapeutic activities and prescribed exercises under RN supervision
- Administer medications following strict protocols and documentation requirements
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Respond promptly to patient call systems and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year acute care or long-term experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds with proper techniques
- Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
- Pass background check and drug screening
