Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sterilized and readily available
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems following HIPAA protocols
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen processing
- Manage patient flow and coordinate with front desk for seamless appointment transitions
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) and current CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills with proven competency
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in high-volume environments
- Flexibility to adapt to changing protocols and patient needs
- Valid California driver's license for potential travel between sites
