Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, billing, and insurance verification
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, sanitized, and ready for patient visits
- Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize efficiency
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) from accredited program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and medical software
- BLS/CPR certification and current immunization records
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and OSHA compliance standards
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays with occasional holidays
