Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures, including verifying insurance and collecting co-pays.
- Assist providers with examinations, injections, and minor procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams and ensure examination rooms are clean, sanitized, and stocked.
- Administer vital signs and record patient medical history accurately.
- Coordinate laboratory tests and facilitate the return of results to providers.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure seamless care.
- Comply with all HIPAA regulations and clinic policies.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
