Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify insurance information upon check-in.
- Measure and record vital signs, height, and weight accurately.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during clinical visits.
- Administer injections and perform basic laboratory tests as directed by the provider.
- Manage patient records and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems with precision.
- Ensure examination rooms are cleaned, stocked, and sanitized according to infection control protocols.
- Answer incoming phone calls and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or ambulatory setting is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic health record systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
