Responsibilities
- Perform Patient Intake: Greet patients, verify demographics, and accurately record vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist Providers: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist healthcare providers during patient visits.
- Administrative Duties: Manage medical records, process insurance verifications, and handle incoming calls with professionalism.
- Laboratory Support: Collect and process specimens, perform basic point-of-care testing (POCT), and ensure accurate lab reporting.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions on medications, procedures, and follow-up care to ensure patient understanding.
- Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, and clinic protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with nursing and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong patient-centric approach.
- Technology: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is a plus.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
