Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) and patient intake assessments.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor medical interventions.
  • Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
  • Manage patient charts and medical records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs, following strict safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized examination room environment.
  • Answer incoming calls, schedule patient appointments, and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification as a CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or NCMA (NHA) preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Proven experience in clinical and administrative medical assisting.
