Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient vitals checks, including blood pressure, weight, and temperature monitoring.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians with procedures and minor medical interventions.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and efficiently.
- Administer medications and injections according to strict protocols and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and provide detailed instructions for at-home care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with experience in Electronic Health Records systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment up to 50 lbs when necessary.
