Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Accurately measure and record vital signs, height, weight, and medical histories during patient intake.
- Clinical Procedures: Prepare patients for examinations, administer injections, vaccines, and perform phlebotomy as directed by licensed providers.
- Administrative Support: Manage electronic health records (EHR), schedule appointments, and process insurance verifications.
- Lab Duties: Collect and process laboratory specimens, ensuring strict adherence to quality control standards.
- Communication: Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions clearly and empathetically.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- CPR/BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in electronic medical records (EHR) systems and computer literacy.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex medical information to diverse populations.
- Adaptability: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
- Licensure: Valid California state licensure (if applicable to specific procedures).
