Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and conditions.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changing patient needs throughout the shift.
- Provide patient and family education regarding discharge planning and home care instructions.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license in the State of North Carolina.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required.
