Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversation and social activities.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Administer medication and remind clients to take their prescriptions as directed.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping, or social outings.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- CNA, HHA, or PCA certification is a plus but not always required.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- CPR and First Aid certification (we can help you get these).
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (as needed).
