Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in condition to the registered nurse or supervisor immediately.
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry related to client care.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social activities, and shopping trips.
- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Document daily care logs and incident reports accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or the medical field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and assist clients up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
