Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) as trained.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe, clean living environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a plus but not always required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
