- Process and submit medical claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage details
- Assign appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes for procedures and diagnoses
- Resolve claim denials and payment discrepancies through follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance and metrics
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure documentation completeness
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, Athena, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance policies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High typing speed (60+ WPM) with 10-key proficiency
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
