Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls and determine urgency of medical needs
- Provide accurate triage recommendations based on established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members for patient care plans
- Document patient interactions and medical information in EMR systems
- Educate patients on appropriate healthcare resources and next steps
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or triage experience
- ACLS/BLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
