Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive technologies, socio-economic shifts, and market opportunities through 2030
- Develop scenario-planning models to prepare organizational strategies for alternative futures
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight insights into actionable innovation roadmaps
- Author quarterly trend briefings and strategic white papers for executive stakeholders
- Partner with R&D teams to prioritize emerging technology investments (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Establish KPI frameworks to measure strategic adaptation to future market conditions
- Represent the organization at global futurist forums and industry summits
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field with 7+ years of experience
- Proven track record in scenario planning and trend analysis for Fortune 500 companies
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional data visualization and storytelling skills for complex future scenarios
- Experience with strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis, cross-impact matrices)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or Academy of Foresight Practitioners)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-strategy implementations
- Fluency in future-oriented research tools (e.g., Trend Hunter, Gartner Magic Quadrant, custom AI models)
