Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum processor architectures using superconducting and photonic qubit technologies
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for 1000+ qubit systems
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography and material science
- Lead hybrid quantum-classical integration projects with AWS Braket and Azure Quantum
- Collaborate with Nobel laureates on quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Author patents for quantum hardware innovations
- Mentor a cross-disciplinary team of quantum physicists and software engineers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum circuit design or quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing and surface code implementations
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum error mitigation
