Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics.
- Monitor and report changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as assigned.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Administer medication reminders and track intake as directed by the supervising nurse.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
Qualifications
- Current New Jersey Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or CNA license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in home care or healthcare settings is preferred.
- Valid New Jersey driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
