Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Help clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with administration where necessary.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and light exercises to promote mental well-being.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements and preferences.
- Household Support: Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and running errands.
- Health Monitoring: Observe client behavior and report any changes in physical or mental health to the supervising nurse or family.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is preferred but not required.
- Certification: Current CNA or state certification is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a warm, empathetic demeanor.
- Reliability: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- CPR/First Aid: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
