Responsibilities
- Provide Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications and report any changes in health or behavior to our nursing staff.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions and client preferences.
- Companionship: Offer emotional support and engage in conversation to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the client.
- Transportation Assistance: Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, or running errands as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of care provided and client status.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current California CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar caregiving role is preferred.
- License: Valid California Driver’s License and reliable vehicle (for transportation duties).
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and families.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and patience when working with the elderly or disabled population.
