Responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Living: Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any side effects or changes in health to the supervisor.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, read to clients, play games, and provide emotional support to combat loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
- Transports: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA, HHA, or Personal Care Aide is preferred.
- License: Current certification as a CNA or HHA is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine, caring attitude towards seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Flexibility: Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
