Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and monitor for any adverse reactions.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, and accompany clients on walks or appointments to reduce loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
- Communication: Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate any changes in client condition to the nursing staff or family members promptly.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is a plus but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Licensure: Current certification as a CNA or HHA is highly desirable.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel to client homes.
- Soft Skills: Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory.
