Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in health to the supervisor.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, read to clients, play games, and provide emotional support to combat loneliness.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, client-appropriate meals based on dietary restrictions.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with light cleaning, laundry, and errands.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Certification as a CNA or HHA is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in caregiving, nursing assistance, or home health is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist with patient transfers for extended periods.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a patient, kind demeanor.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
