Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversation, hobbies, and social activities.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Mobility Assistance: Safely assist clients with walking, transfers, and using walkers or wheelchairs.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in health to the supervising nurse or family.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, light cooking, and laundry to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with family members, case managers, and our office staff regarding client care updates.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, CNA, or PCA is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Licensure: Current Texas CNA or HHA certification is a plus.
- Certifications: Valid CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
