Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Process and transport specimens to central lab facilities
- Conduct patient interviews and vital sign assessments
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Ensure HIPAA compliance during all patient interactions
- Coordinate with lab staff for urgent testing protocols
- Train patients on home collection procedures when applicable
Qualifications
- Current Kansas Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficient with telehealth platforms and EHR systems
- Exceptional patient communication skills
- Reliable transportation for specimen deliveries
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Background check and drug screening required
