Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a dignified and respectful manner.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with medication administration as required and certified.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversation, recreational activities, and social outings to enhance their quality of life.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping duties such as meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands as needed.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with family members and our care team regarding the client's daily status and any changes in condition.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CNA, HHA, or PCA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or long-term care is a plus, but we welcome motivated self-starters.
- Compassion: A genuine desire to help others and demonstrate patience and empathy.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid Driver's License: Access to a reliable vehicle for client transportation is required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
