Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes in condition to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Accurately document care services and communicate updates to family members and medical providers.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, and errands using a personal vehicle.
Qualifications
- Current, valid state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) license.
- CPR and First Aid certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in geriatric care or home health is a plus but not mandatory.
