Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications at scheduled times and report any side effects or missed doses to the supervising nurse or family member.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, activities, and hobbies to prevent loneliness and promote mental well-being.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Assist with light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and errands as needed.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record client's temperature, blood pressure, and pulse as directed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Minimum educational requirement.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR & First Aid Certification: Current certification is required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Home Health Aide, CNA, or Personal Care Assistant is preferred but not always required.
- Compassion & Patience: A genuine desire to help others and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.
