Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to specific dietary requirements.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, and recreational activities as needed.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in physical or mental condition to the Care Manager immediately.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and tidying living spaces to maintain a safe environment.
- Administer medication reminders and document care logs accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; CNA or HHA certification is a strong plus.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation are mandatory.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with seniors and families.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for senior care.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
