Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Help clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and assist with management as needed.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals based on dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Provide social interaction, conversation, and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document daily activities and changes in client health status in logs.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Compassion & Patience: A genuine desire to help others and the patience to handle various situations with grace.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- High School Diploma: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
